Back pain can be quite distressful and causes one much discomfort. The nagging pain can prevent your from carrying out your daily chores and also enjoy life. The worst situation is when it is persistent. It keeps reoccurring again and again. Naturally, one would not like a health condition that persists.
There are times when the pain may be quite severe and at times it may not be that much. When one overdoes activity during good days one ends up facing the bad days as one has to cope up with the pain.
Persistent back pain can be very annoying. One would like to get rid of it. After the recurring pain can interfere with your daily life activities.
What does one do when back pain is persistent?
- One must seek first aid immediately. One must not delay as the pain will get worse. One must remain active. Lying down on the bed does not help. It will aggravate the situation. One also must not spend too much time on the couch.
- One can take medication for it. There are several simple medication such as aspirin, which will provide relief from the pain.
- One can use cold or hot packs. These also give much relief from the persistent pain.
- It is also important to relax. Overstraining oneself is not good.
- Exercise also helps.
- One must spread the workload across several days. One must not try do all the work in one go. Some practice will be required to pace work.
- One must reduce the pain to a manageable level so that one can do one’s work.
- Acupuncture also helps.
- One can massage with herbal oils.
- Sitting in the right posture helps.
Persistent back pain can be taken care of with timely medical help. First aid methods can be adopted to deal with pain. One can get relief from the pain.
