Can people with Dry Eyes wear Contact Lenses?
Dry eyes may be a result of many conditions including insufficient lubrication, inflammation or excessive usage of medications in addition to the natural ageing process. Some older women also experience dry eyes at the time of menopause that produces undesirable effects on the body. At times, the air-conditioned environment in the workplace may also be responsible for causing such problems. People who often stare at the computer screen for a long time without blinking at all are prone to such kind of dry eye syndrome. Women who resort to birth control bills may also experience this problem due to fluctuations of hormone levels in their bodies.

Again, they can be put back for regular usage that helps in controlling the problem of dry eye.
- You can also try using re wetting drops meant specifically for contact lens users experiencing dry eye. Artificial tears can also be a good solution for getting good relief from this problem.
- There are also some natural remedies useful for dry eyes such as consumption of flax seed oil to get rid of this problem. However, one must be careful and never apply flaxseed oil to the eye directly and can use cold pressed oil instead for more effectiveness.
- Silicon Hydrogel contact lenses are known to provide greater comfort to users suffering from problems related to dry eye syndrome. These soft contacts can be used along with good lens solution for alleviating such eye related problems.
