Plantar warts appear on the soles of a person’s feet on account of human papillomavirus (HPV), which is a different type of virus as compared to cervical cancer type. These are quite painful and ugly to look at. Each step you take can be painful. HPV virus enters the soles of the feet through cracks and tiny cuts.

  • Cut out a piece of duct tape and then apply it on the plantar wart.
  • Let the duct tape be on the plantar wart for six days. In case, it comes off then replace it with another one.
  • After the 6th day remove the duct tape and let the warts soak in some warm water. Now in a gentle manner try to scrub the warts while using a pumic stone or perhaps an emery board. This will help in getting rid of the dead skin.
  • Repeat it every sixth day for a period of about 2 months until one gets rid of the wart.

Duct tape method is very popular and off late salicylic acid is also added onto the tape. The duct tape therapy is very simple as well as effective. In case the warts persist then it is better to consult a doctor for perhaps other forms of treatment such as cryotherapy as well as salicyclic acid form of treatment.
