It is understood that women cry far too longer as compared to men and lot more frequently and of course in a dramatic manner. This was revealed by German experts who analyzed previous studies.

On the whole they observed that women cry on an average 30 to 64 times in one single year. Also, tears are shed by them 6 to 17 times as per Agence France-Presse.

According to the reports women cry for about 6 minutes, whereas men sob around 2 to 4 minutes. Gender differences are there in the pattern of crying. Men cry on account of empathy or when a relationship has failed. Women on the other hand cry when they recall past events or feel inadequate. They also cry when they find a particular situation very difficult to resolve.
