Tips for Hair Growth

Everyone likes to have thick hair and look younger. But hair loss has become a common condition and it is especially depressing for younger generation. Here are some basic tips for healthy hair growth and to prevent hair loss.

Take adequate amounts of protein
Proteins are composed of amino acids that are essential for building of new cells, including hair. Especially five amino acids are necessary for hair growth – cystine, methionine, cysteine, arginine and lysine. If your protein intake is inadequate over a lengthy period, then it can force your hair into resting phase and your hair sheds after a few months. So, it is obvious that your daily diet should include sufficient portions of protein rich foods.

Best sources of dietary protein are – lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, soy, dairy products, nuts, grains and seeds. It is important that a minimum of 15% of daily calories should come from the foods rich in proteins.

Take adequate amount of useful carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are an important source of energy. They help in growth of tissues, including hair. They give your body B vitamins that are vital for healthy hair growth. You have to consume non-refined carbohydrates. Try to avoid taking the sugars and white flour, which are much prevalent in many over-refined carbohydrate products. You should also consume more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, brown rice and potatoes. It is recommended that you get 55-60% of daily calories intake from the carbohydrates that are found in these foods.

Maintain a healthy balance of dietary fats
Fat is necessary for energy production. It can be found in both animal and plant foods. Your body needs proper levels of fat for healthy hair growth. That fat can be obtained from a mixture of plant and lean animal sources. Make sure 25-30% of your daily calorie intake is from these sources.

Avoid more stress
If you are experiencing sudden hair loss, then it may be due to acute stress. Sudden toxicity or poisoning to your body because of some toxic metals may also be a cause. It is always necessary to rule out these causes of hair loss before going for taking medicines.

Stress is found to be associated with hair loss. During times of extreme stress, your body loses heavy amounts of vitamins, protein and minerals in the urine. This sudden loss of nutrients is an important factor in hair loss. Illnesses such as scarlet fever or pregnancy may also be a cause of stress. When you are in stress cortisol levels also increase. Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands. It performs many important functions. However, when it is produced in excess, it can trigger hair loss and also bone loss. If saliva testing finds elevation of cortisol, there is a protocol for male hair loss treatment to normalize it. This program is found to be 100% successful for restoration of fast hair growth for males.

Use effective natural hair growth products
Testosterone a hormone found to be responsible for male pattern baldness when it or its receptors are in high amounts. Many natural substances are found to be helpful in avoiding these hormonal imbalances. Traditional Chinese medicines are also available as male hair loss treatment products. Saw Palmetto herbal supplement is one such herbal male hair growth treatment. It is one of top ten herbal supplements for fast hair growth. The green tea hair growth products also offer remarkable antioxidant benefits due to their high level of Polyphenols.
