Marriage is a major event in one’s life. After some years of courtship, the couples decide to settle for it. In the East, the courtship may not be there, but yet socially marriage is very important. It is considered to be an auspicious occasion.

The first year of marriage is no doubt a romantic period, full of bliss and happiness. Couples spend their precious moments together and try their best to come closer to each other. At times things may not work out, but that is in rare cases, as usually, in the first year couples try their best to appreciate each other and try to be as compatible to each other as possible.

For a couple the first years of marriage remains something to be cherished all their life-time. It is a moment when they care for each other and try their best to harmonize their relationship. This is a time when they hardly are concerned with family budget or children. It is purely a romantic phase filled with joy and pleasure.
