    • Fenugreek seeds: Immerse 2 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in one glass of water and grind them the next morning to prepare a paste. Apply this paste on your scalp then leave for 30 minutes. After that, wash your hair with ritha (Sapindus) or shikakai solution.
    • Lime Juice: Fresh lime juice is very useful in the treatment of dandruff. Apply 1 tsp of lime juice on your scalp and leave it for half an hour. It helps in removing stickiness and dandruff. Apart from this, a natural glow will come in your hair.
    • Green Gram Powder: Mix 2 tbsp of the powder of green gram with ½ cup of curd and wash the hair two times a week.
    • Snake gourd juice: The juice extracted from snake gourd can be applied on the scalp for treating dandruff.
    • Beets: Beets can be used effectively in treating dandruff. The water in which the beet tops and roots boiled water is boiled should be used for scalp massage every night.
    • Indian Gooseberry juice: Mix a few drops of lime juice with Indian gooseberry juice and apply on the scalp. Then massage for 15 minutes before going to bed at night.
    • Coconut Oil: Apply warm coconut oil on the scalp with cotton. Keep it overnight. Apply lemon juice on the scalp the next morning and wash the hair after half-hour.
    • Fenugreek Seeds: Fenugreek (methi) seeds can also protect the scalp from dandruff. Fenugreek seeds need to be soaked overnight in water. The next morning grind them into a paste. Apply this paste on the scalp and keep it for half-hour. Rinse off with water.
    • Oil Massage: Warm oil massages are also very good for treating dandruff. Apply warm olive oil and keep it overnight. Wash hair in the morning.
    • Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is an effective home remedy for dandruff. Apply natural aloe vera gel for 20 minutes before you wash your hair. Rub the gel on your scalp. And repeat this treatment regularly whenever you wash your hair.
    • Shampoo:If your dandruff problem is not as severe you should shampoo your hair twice a week with a shampoo that is meant for frequent use and for a dry scalp and hair. The moisturizers in this shampoo will help protect your scalp from flaking and also protect it. You could also use a shampoo powder that is made using camellia seeds.
    • Anti Dandruff Shampoo: If your dandruff problem is not that severe you can use an anti-dandruff shampoo every alternate day and ensure that you leave the lather on for ten minutes at least. Make sure that you get all the shampoo off your scalp as the soap residue can further aggravate skin problems. Make sure to shampoo your hair twice a week after the problem subsides.
    • Special Shampoos: If you have a dandruff problem that causes you embarrassment at work, parties and another social occasion then you could consider using shampoos that contain anti-yeast medication like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide or climbazole. Start the cleansing routine by using these shampoos every alternate day in the 1st week, then switch to twice a week for the next two to four weeks. Gradually as the problem improves you can use the shampoo once a week.
    • Towel dry: Do not blow dry your hair. Towel dry your hair and let it dry out naturally.
    • Brush: Brush your hair from the scalp outwards. Make sure you use a brush that has sot natural bristles. This process will distribute the oil making your hair look shiny and healthy.
