Home remedies for Pyorrhea

Home remedies for PyorrheaPyrorrhea happens to be a disease of the gums and teeth. One requires dental care to prevent as well as cure it. One must consult one’s dentist. One can also try out natural remedies to treat it but visiting a dentist is a must.

Home Remedies for Pyorrhea

  • Soon after brushing the teeth in the morning, take a little bit of mustard oil and put some salt in it. Take the mixture on one’s tip of the finger and then rub it on the gums. In case you find rubbing difficult, then make use of cotton and rub it gently. This is one of the most useful and age old home remedy for Pyorrhea.
  • Green guava is very beneficial.
  • Take some ginger, black pepper, and leaves of pointed gourd as well as the root of Ficus religiosa and little of rock salt. Boil them in water and make a brew out of them. Strain the content well with the help of a cloth. Let it cool and then gargle.
  • Banyan tree bark is very good. Take about 4 to 5 pieces of this bark and place it in a vessel of water. Boil the essence till it gets steeped into the water. Boil it for ½ hour, turn off the flame and let it cool down. Strain and later filter the decoction and later filter the decoction by making use of filter cloth and then gargle. It prevents bleeding as well as pain.
  • Take lemon juice and then rub it on the gums. Initially it burns, but then soothes down.
  • Take around castor oil (200ml) with about 5 grams of camphor as well as honey. Blend them together and then keep them aside. Take a twig of the margosa and immerse it in paste that has been prepared and then rub it on the paste. One must do this on a daily basis.
  • Fill one’s mouth with sesame oil and allow it to remain for about ten minutes. The oil must be gargled in the mouth. Spit it out and then repeat the procedure for about 24hrs. Sesame oil has properties that can stop the bleeding.
  • For the pain in the gums take some ghee and mix it with little bit of camphor. Apply this paste on the gums at least twice in a day.
  • Cut a guava into 4 equal parts and apply some salt on it and after biting eat the pieces.
  • Powder some pepper, add salt and then mix them well. Massage the gums by using this powder a number of times in a day. It can be very burning but also has medicinal values.
  • Prepare a mixture of spinach juice with some carrot juice. Both of them can be had in equal quantity to fill a soup of bowl. Drink this once in a day.. It helps in maintaining gingival hygiene and helps in healing the pyorrhea and is one of the effective home remedy for Pyorrhea.
  • Ayurvedic herbs such as handra, neem, patola, babool are good for healing and have disinfectant properties.
  • One must not take cheese and other milk products. As they stick to the gums causing further growth of bacteria.
  • Spicy as well as junk food can be avoided.
  • Oral hygiene is very essential.
  • Brush your teeth with herbal tooth paste.
  • Spicy, canned food, as well as junk foods must not be taken.

Pyorrhea requires proper dental care and one can also use home remedies.
