This very stimulating effect of the caffeine acts like a mask to hide the signs of coffee allergy. Even consumption of a very small amount of coffee by an allergic person can result in the appearance of some or several of the above mentioned signs of this allergy based on the severity of this condition.

There is no cure to any allergy as such. These undesirable reactions are caused in the body due to mistaken identification of the immune system of the major component of a food or drink. In the case of coffee allergy, the natural defense mechanism or the immune system in some people identifies and treats caffeine as a threat to the body. As a consequence, it allows a large number of white blood cells to fight with the perceived threat. Symptoms of caffeine allergy are the result of this inner conflict.

This allergy is more dangerous when compared to other types of food and drink allergies. It is because apart from the physical damage, it can cause psychological damage as well owing to its stimulant properties. There is every possibility that doctors can mistakenly conclude a person suffering from caffeine allergy as psychotic. Its antihistamine properties also hide the skin allergy signs.

However, awareness of these signs and the covert nature of caffeine’s reactions in the body goes a long way in the commencement of a fairly early treatment.

Treatment for Coffee Allergy
The best possible way to deal with coffee allergy is to give its drinking. As the drink has an addictive nature, one has to go through the painful withdrawal symptoms. Seeking professional advice to successfully pass this difficult phase can prove handy.

There are several products in which the ingredients of coffee are present in large quantities. Some of them are the energy drinks, chocolates, sodas and certain medications. A list of all these items can be prepared and they can be completely ruled out from daily consumption.

Homeopathic medicines can effectively treat the coffee allergy with little to no side effects. Most of these medicines try to strengthen the immune system and help it in naturally dealing with the havoc caused by caffeine in the body and mind.

Eating leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, drinking more than 8 glasses of water on daily basis, intake of green tea and regular exercise are some of the natural supplementary treatments for coffee allergy.
