Bamboo is popularly grown in Asia. It is a kind of grass that is woody, hard and with a hollow stem. They are many varieties of the bamboo and these are based on the root of the plant. It is grown in different climates, but commonly so in tropical climates.

Bamboo is food source and is made up of crisp texture and is light and of sweet flavor. Bamboo shoots are quite often used as fillers in Asian cuisine. Some of the bamboos can be eaten raw. On the other hand, some are cooked to remove the toxins.

The bamboo is also found useful for construction purposes. It is a very hard substance. It can be treated chemically in order to prevent rot and insect infestation. In China, bamboo was used to construct the earliest suspension bridges. Presently, it is used for building construction purposes. It is also used for craft boards, airplanes and zeppelins.

  • Mouth Ulcers – Paste of bamboo manna could be applied on the ulcers in the mouth for quick relief. Apply the paste 2-3 times a day till it is cured completely
  • Piles – Crush bamboo leaves and then boil it in water. Now add this decoction into a shallow tub filled with water. Person suffering with piles problem could sit in this tub in a way that the piles get submerged in the medicated water. This could be done 15 minutes every day regulalrly for relief from the problem
  • Bleeding Disorders – Make a paste out of Bamboo manna and Aniseed(saumph) and take it 1 times a day till some relief is observed or till total elimination of the problem
  • Worm – To get relief from worm infestation, add bamboo manna in water and dissolve it completely. Add some crushed cumin seeds and take this solution everyday. It dislodges the worms and helps to get rid of them completely
  • Respiratory Problems – Bamboo manna is very beneficial for respiratory problems as it soothes the throat and is very effective on cough. One could lick powdered manna mixed with honey. It also soothes the lung tissues
