A woman is epitome of love and affection. She bears the child, nurtures and ensures that he or she has a secure life ahead. She feels responsible for the emotional and physical development of the child. Although the father is also equally responsible for the healthy growth of the child, the mother spends more time and caters to every demands of the child very devotedly. The child means a lot to her. After all nine months were spent in nurturing the child and then giving birth to it.

A woman feels responsible for her child. She wants to give the best. Much time and effort is required to ensure that the child is well taken care of in every respect. Neglecting the child goes against her nature, although some do due to personal pressures. She spends quality time with the child. She has a major responsibility in the upbringing of the child. What responsibilities you might ask?

What Are the Parental Responsibilities of a Woman

    • The proximity to the child makes a woman feel very responsible as a mother. She has given birth to the child and naturally expects to have a greater say in its growth and development
    • She understands the child better. She has to cater to the needs of the child and fulfill all his or her goals and aspirations
    • The woman has to ensure that her child has the best of things in life. Good food, proper education and nice clothes to wear and a sheltered existence. She may have to be financially strong at times to bring up the child. A single woman has the double responsibility of earning her living and looking after the child
    • A woman has to ensure that her child’s health is not neglected. Proper medical attention should be given for the healthy growth of the child. The father also has an equal share in all the responsibilities, but as a mother, a woman should be more caring and loving and focus on the child’s well-being
    • A woman is considered to be cool, gentle, warm and loving and possess qualities that would help in the rearing of a child. Socially also, she is expected to fulfill the nurturing role and her presence is considered to be essential in bringing up a child

How Successful is a Woman as a Parent

    • A woman who successfully brings up her child well is looked up to in society. A well brought up child, both emotionally and physically, indicates that the mother has taken up her responsibility in the right perspective. She has not left all matters to the father only, but has put in her share of nurturing as well
    • A single woman who has provided well for the child is appreciated. After all it is a difficult task to bring up the child as a single parent
    • A child who reflects the personality of his mother well indicates that the mother has spent sufficient time with the child

A woman also has to shoulder the responsibility of bringing up a child along with the father. She spends more time with the child and therefore her views and impressions do matter to the child. The child has to be groomed well for the both the parents to feel proud of, particularly the mother.
