    How to Make Brain SharperOne is well aware that physical exercise keeps our body in good shape. Similarly, mental exercise also sharpens the mind. We remain more functional for a longer period of time. As we grow older our mental faculties decline and therefore, if we exercise our mind and fill it with fruitful material, then it remains more active for a longer period of time.

    It is important to retain one’s memory as best as possible even if one ages. In other words,one has to sharpen the brain. How does one do it? Here are few suggestions:

    Tips to sharpen your brain
    Some of the primary ways in which you could make brain sharper:

    • One must be involved in activities such as reading, doing puzzles, playing chess and any fun loving games.
    • One can try to recollect a discussion or an event. This helps in exercising one’s mind as one has to try to remember what had taken place. One has to try to remember even minute details, like for example, the place that it took place, and when the event took place.
    • Indulge yourself in new activities like visiting a new department store that has recently opened or adding a new furniture to your home etc.
    • Try to converse with new people whom you have never met. Also try to converse with people of different professions.
    • Making new friends is also good. One can do this on the internet as well. One must try to socialize like becoming a member of a club where you will meet people.
    • Cultivate new habits is good. Undertake new tasks. Make changes in your routine.
    • Reading is a good habit to develop as it improves one’s memory. One must read on a variety of subjects, like on history, biographies, fiction etc. It keeps one’s interest alive and also sharpens one’s memory power.

    Foods to sharpen brain
    Below are some of the top foods and diet that could help to make your brain sharper:

    • Blueberries – Having a cupful of blueberries will improve one’s motor learning skills and will also protect one’s brain against the bad effects of aging. One can also take strawberries as well as cranberries.
    • Avacados – Avacodos have fat Mono unstaturated fats that promote proper flow of blood. Healthy blood circulation is good for the memory as it improves the functioning of the brain.
    • Nuts seeds – These are also good sources of Vitamin E. Vitamins help in protecting one against cognitive decline as it contains antioxidants. One can have a handful of walnuts, almonds or sunflower as they are good for the brain.
    • Dark Chocolate – Dark chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants. It stimulates endorphins as it improves the moods. One can have about one ounce of serving every day.
    • Wild salmon – Omega3 fatty acids protect one’s brain as they contain anti-inflammatory. It is a good source of Omega-3. One can have four ounce serve thrice in a week. It will protect our brain from aging and also improve one’s moods. One can substitute with herring or sardines.
    • Green tea – One can have about 2 cups of green tea every day. It also helps in improving the functioning of the brain. It can protect one from Parkinson’s and other brain disorders.

    It is important to keep the brain in good shape as it helps in improving one’s memory. As one grows older there is memory loss as by exercising the mind one can ensure it is in proper shape.
