The best way to take care of your teeth is to brush twice a day, floss once in a week, avoid sweet foods, rinse your mouth 2 times in a day with mouth wash, visit dentist every 6 months. These steps could look simple but would go a long way in taking care of your teeth if you follow them without fail and make it your habit.

The remedies mentioned above are very beneficial and effective in bringing down swelling in gums, however, i would like to share one more remedy which is easy to implement and effective in results.
warm saline water can create hypertonic environment. This environment can help in pressurizing bacterial cell wall, thereby killing the bacteria and relieving pain and swelling. You can prepare a solution by mixing two pinches of salt in a glass of warm water. The solution can be gargled several times daily.

Bark of the tree acacia arabica should be boiled in water. Gargling with this decoction can reduce the swelling of gums. Similarly, gargling with lemon water twice a day is a simple but effective home remedy for bringing down swelling gums. Bishop’s seed can be roasted into fine powder and added with mustard oil. Applying this paste on the swelling is very beneficial.
